Participants should realize the following ministry-related outcomes:
Biblical and theological foundation for mentoring ministry
Identify the difference between content-driven ministries and process-guided ministries.
Identify perceived barriers for volunteering
Eliminating the downward drag of ministry clutter in one’s ministry locale.
The leader and self-awareness: Doing our homework for healthy relationships and more fruitful ministry
A simple but profound three-part plan for multiplying servant leaders
Implementing a mentoring culture and process in participant’s ministry context
A team from each church is ideal — Pastor or Ministry Professional and 2 – 4 Lay Persons. Leaders alone are welcome
Rev. Dr. Michael Kurtz, LMFT, DMin, pastor of Francis Asbury UMC, will lead this peer learning opportunity. He wrote a book by the same name. Participants will receive a copy of the book.
A service of worship celebrating the life of David Warren will be held at Asbury Memorial UMC on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 1:00.
The Revs. Beth Crissman, Gary Coffey, and Kelly Crissman, pastor of Asbury Memorial will officiate.
