Habitat for Humanity

Each year the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity chapter builds a Methodist/Presbyterian house. In 2019, the 27th such house is under construction, and Asbury volunteers have been helping from the beginning.

We’re also sponsors, meaning that we budget an annual contribution that helps pay for the building materials for the house. Some church members also work at the Habitat ReStore, sales from which help fund more home-building. Interested volunteers are always welcome; no building experience is required and there are all sorts of jobs to be done. To volunteer, please call Merritt Moseley at 828-253-6940.
